Great ideas here, but this is my absolute favorite suggestion of yours: Imho the flamethrower should have a 'Wall of Flame' ability where you can use it defensively as an overwatch action which would always hit and be very powerful against melee enemies that run towards you (stun lancers, mutons etc...

Awww, can we keep this? It would be nice to have perks like the Steady Hands. Can there be some alternative way of giving Sparks extra perks, even if the AWC route is removed?

Even in vanilla X-Com 2, if you are engaged with a pod (meaning you have broken concealment), every enemy knows where every un-concealed soldier of yours is automatically.

I like the directional mine idea.

It could be something like Proximity Mine + Shredder Gun.

Glass Cutter would be great too. Maybe something a specialized infiltration class (like the Agent idea posted previously on this forum), or Shinobi could equip.

I'm still early in my LW2 campaign playthrough, so apologies if this is already in the game or on the roadmap. In Havens where you have more rebels than maximum, it would be great to be able to promote rebels who've already have combat experience into rookie soldiers. This way the extra rebels doing...

Havens priortize recruiting rebels over rookies. You may occasionally get a rookie, but don't count on it until the haven is up to the cap of 13 rebels. Once it's fully established they should start recruiting for you. I think my first haven has gone over the cap (I have a few rebels stuck permanen...

How do you get them?

I have a liberated Haven with quite a few rebels working on Recruiting, for months at a time, but I see next to no rookies coming in.

I think I just saw somewhere that the Recruiting is to recruit rebels in the Haven. What needs to be done to get rookies?

Unique Reward Missions

It would be nice to see the return of unique missions that granted you unique reward characters, like Doorne or Carlock's missions from Long War 1. Maybe like the Exalt mission that granted you a unique item. Is that anywhere near a possibility or on the roadmap for Long War 2's update releases?

Like maybe you interrogate a muton and you get Intel or a advent base location or something like that.
Would love to know if live capture has become a thing again. That was a pretty anxiety-inducing but satisfying goal in EU/EW/LW1.

If you do a mission in a region you have stolen MECs in, could you have them show up in that mission, similar to how Resistance soldiers already do?
