Re: [Suggestion] Double-barrel as 2 separate rolls & small tweaks
I am not a weapon expert but isn't it supposed to fire from both barrels AT ONCE hence a single roll? Again I don't know how it actually works in real life but in plenty of other games sawed-off shotguns fire from both barrels simultaneously. And even if you don't take realism into accout, both barr...

Re: Making Ammo Interesting Again
The ammo is boring and mostly useless, but at least I can choose not to use it. What changes would you make to ammo to make it less boring, and more useful? Well, I'd remove the plain +2 damage vs certain targets ammunition, as it is too situational and almost never worth researching\building\equip...

Re: Making Ammo Interesting Again
No. That system was terrible and I'm glad they got rid of it. The ammo is boring and mostly useless, but at least I can choose not to use it. The game has enough unnecessary RNG(Psi skill tree, AWC, continent bonuses, starting continent, etc).

Re: L/I post-gampaign report + some feedback
with all the glaring problems/mechanics in vanilla xcom2 (compared to EW/LW1), i was hoping pavonis would have the foresight to create a LW2, not an "xcom2: version 2"... Not adopt every issue wholesale and then just add more layers to it. Well, despite the version stating 1.1, it's prett...

Re: Are Flashbangs overpowered
Flashbangs are OP because they offer the best AOE CC in the game at the start of the game and stay that way the entire playthrough. I think the perfect solution would be to nerf them slightly(AOE and maybe aim penalty) and add an improved version for late game(which would also obviously require addi...

Re: Question about Mobility and Grenades
You don't get refunded the mobility. It helps if you look at it from a game perspective instead of a simulationist one. The basic rule of inventory in XCOM is that you can add optional powers to your soldiers, but you pay -1 mobility for each option you take. Things like ammo, which replaces existi...

Re: Opinion on Rocketeers
Replace some of the middle generic perks with a perk which makes flamers entirely ignore cover, and another one where the burn chance becomes guaranteed. Make the rocket perks reduce scatter. Right now I wish my technicals were grenadiers, they're totally outclassed. Yep. By the time you get incend...

Re: Close combat assaults and sword shinobis seem useless
Every class has their use. Assaults are incredibly useful and should not be overlooked. Same goes for Shinobis, particularly for their invaluable recon abilities in preventing unwanted pod activation, but also for hacking hard to reach enemies when stealth is no longer required. If you're not using...

Close combat assaults and sword shinobis seem useless
Running close to aliens almost always means triggering 1-2 pods this or next turn. Why should I ever get an assault if I can just get an extra gunner\ranger and have almost the same if not more damage with zero risk. Am I missing something or are they really garbage tier?

Re: [General Feedback] Strategic layer and class balance
Agreed on PsiOps. They are just not worth the investment and will only be strong when at max rank, while other classes can shine at squaddie rank. The only good skills they have are stasis, insanity with schism and domination(void rift is only good if you are lucky to have schism) and you aren't eve...

Re: Duplicate AWC ability and retraining
You are probably using Commanders choice, and since when changing classes with it, the AWC perks don't reset you sometimes get duplicates.

Re: Soldiers cannot jump through windows or low cover
This appears to be a problem that is specific to two or more maps. I've only confirmed it on two that we made some changes to for 1.1. A temporary workaround is to go into the file XCOMParcels.ini and put a semicolon in the front of the two following lines, which will comment them out and remove th...

Ah, well okay then. I guess I just never encountered it in 80+ hours of playing vanilla. Thx for the reply.Mesh2007 wrote:Also happens in vanilla so its not a long war 2 bug probably mods conflicting.

Re: Soldiers cannot break windows
Check whether there's an obstacle on the other side. You can't smash through a window and vault over a couch in the same action, for some reason. That's that same window from the inside. Clearly no obstacles. And again, it's like that for all of them, not just this one and not even just on this mis...

Soldiers cannot jump through windows or low cover
https://pp.vk.me/c636820/v636820619/44a4b/NmJQJvwzbVI.jpg Second mission with these types of windows. All buildings have them and they all cannot be broken. I can still(sometimes) shoot through them and they break, but I can't walk through them. I can't enter any building except through doors. Disa...

(Resolved)Noise in the Avenger after missions
So, basically after a mission an animation of the skyranger being lowered on a lift is played and it has a distinct noise. For some reason this noise(or at least it seems like it) doesn't stop even after I'm done looking at mission results(loot\VIPs etc) and continues playing everywhere on the aveng...

Non-random AWC perks
I understand that LW2 devs tried to expand on the original random AWC abilities, but I think there is enough randomness in xcom as is, so is there any way to make the pool of AWC abilities(off-class) not random? Like maybe choose 3 out of all available ones, or perhaps a way to manually set 3 abilit...

Re: Why Shinobi?
Because its edgy.
It's really not that big of a problem, considering the game is already full of questionable design choices: bolt casters in the age of laser weapons, FREAKING SWORDS(ON THE BACK!) and ridiculous looking armours(especially dlc ones).

SPARKs
So, have anyone tried them out? I can't find any information about them, but since the devs stated there are no separate classes and only 3 tiers of weapons, I can't really see the point in investing research times and resourses into them. Am I wrong here, or are they still useless as in vanilla?
