Weapon attachments
I started by quickly adding any weapon attachments to my weapons, very helpful. Then I noticed that I could research weapon attachments and make them myself, but only ONCE I had 3 of them. Is that 3 basic attachments, 3 basic or advanced, I don't know. So now I am NOT attaching ANY of the attachment...

You have to MOVE your ship to the mission to even see this time? Which is awkward. Having seen that there are only 2 days left, for example, you will probably abort immediately, and return to what you were doing. You can actually see the expiration time without moving the ship by mousing the missio...

I am hoping this ensures that the Flamethrower will now damage aliens behind modest cover. At the moment, if they are behind a tree, for example, and enveloped in flames, they suffer no damage.

I see in my soldiers (not created equal) a shield icon with a range of numbers from -10 to +10 or thereabouts.
I ASSUME this is a bonus (or malus) to their DEFENCE stat when fired at?
How do I see this in-game?
What do people do with rookies with -10 or more DEFENCE?

That 'thing' is critical. The more 'Intel' you get from local resistance groups, the more you will get missions with a longer timer before they expire. The longer the timer, the bigger group you can send, or the more infiltration you can achieve, before the mission requires you to start it. I have, ...

I have seen this as well. No animation, just a noise like a teleporter or 'flash' sound, and there they are.

Continent Bonus
I have 3 regions in North America, but don't see any continent bonus. Is there something I have to do?
