I had this when I ran with a fixed pagefile of 1xram (16gb). I've made the pagefile 32gb and it seems to have helped (touch wood). I also had the issue on vanilla and removing and reinstalling all the vcredists seemed to help too. No idea what causes it though.

So I unlocked the regional HQ mission a while back but following a botched retaliation I have no resistance guys left (advent strength hit 11 and I just focused on other regions). I cheesed the HQ mission once the A team healed but I'm not sure I should have because I won't(?) get rescue missions no...
