Re: The chosen!!!
Who politically represents Advent? I always assumed it was the snakes. And isn't the 'Speaker' in the opening cutscene sequence a thin man? Looks like he's indeed a Thin Man but for the population he's certainly "human". I always thought ADVENT was mostly represented by real humans (an ma...

Re: New and Improved Dark Events Thread
I'm still confused about how all this works. Is it right that dark events occur in contacted regions and regions adjacent to them? If so I don't get the argument that they encourage expansion, as there's always regions you haven't contacted (at least til very late game). So by expanding, don't you j...

Re: Strategy Level "Board Game"
Ultimately you need to liberate the region, as that's the only way to actually win. If you leave the region disputed, ADVENT will win eventually, especially if they wear down the haven with mini-retaliations, and eventually when you are unable to mount an effective offense they will start spamming ...

Re: Soldiers cannot jump through windows or low cover
Thanks rakoon. That makes more sense. I'm a bit of a noob messing with ini files. I tried the fix to remove the maps and found myself in the same weird void as stmack (the Matrix Loading Program?). It did contain the building I landed on, but nothing else out there. I'd actually returned to a save f...

Re: Soldiers cannot jump through windows or low cover
Hi Johnny, I've just seen this too. Thanks for the reply, but I see 2 XCOMParcels files. One in DLC2/Config and One in DLC3/Config. Is that right? Should I edit both of them? So this removes two of the horrifically large rescue/extraction maps? I might just leave the file edited after the next patch.

Re: Any benefit to inflitrating HQ above 100%?
Thanks. So definitely a case of diminishing returns, then. Not sure I'd really notice another 4 advent in that lot. Unless those 4 happen to be their top troops. Last time I ballsed up by not knowing how to unlock mag weapons (I did the HQ mission with lasers and Kevlar). Then wasted time doing basi...

Any benefit to inflitrating HQ above 100%?
In my first attempt, infiltrating my first HQ to 200% with a 10 man team took a really long time, forcing me to skip a bunch of supply raids and other useful missions I would have taken if I didn't have the best part of two squads with me. This brought the activity down from swarming to swarming. So...
