If you build a real sniper (which is perfectly viable) they have better Aim and Damage than a Ranger so not sure what you are talking about for the last part. I also think that if you are going to give classes like the assault the ability to do obscene amounts of damage with skills like street sweeper, then the sniper should have a parity skill, otherwise, it becomes a second rate class. I would like to vote against the seriel nerf. The snipers are already underpowered compared to the other classes now. If you are that far in time, you should ask yourself what you are doing wrong, when the lib chain can be completed on legend difficulty by the end of april. I train all of my low aim sharpshooters, you know the ones that seem to finish gatecrasher with a 61 aim and somehow get promoted to sharpshooter, or those rescued sharpshooters that couldn't hit the broad side of a barn standing inside it, but somehow are promoted to sharpshooter, will pistol perks...

I play on veteran and also think it is too fast. Especially dark events that add 1 or 2 pips to the counter every couple of weeks in areas I have no contact with. I keep hoping somebody will make a mod to slow it down, but so far no luck. No luck on finding a mod to reduce or eliminate the dark even...

I have found putting shredder rounds on the gunner is a very good idea...

But yea...compared to AP rounds, the rest are just underwhelming...

Organic or mech only rounds are just not versatile enough.

I didn't know burning turns off tac sense though, definitely worth keeping that in mind.

After reading 7 pages of this, it seems like the easiest, and perhaps best solution is just to revert the psi op to working exactly how it did in vanilla without modification.
