Higher graze band benefits XCOM. There are a lot of perks and items that get better the wider the band gets, and you can build around that. Two separate rolls, but crit/dodge over 100% is still worthless for the sake of these calculations it seems. I think this is a pretty glaring problem, because the calculations are presented to the player in the UI the same way that hit chances are presented: with additive and subtractive modifiers, ...

The tooltip says that multiple suppressions stack, so if I'm being lied to that's pretty egregious. Having nobody die on my most recent HQ was pretty dependent on double suppressing the boss until my soldiers were ready to burst him down with Demolition.

The addition of Tactical Dark Events throws another wrench into all of this. I have no idea how the strategic AI works, but it seems to like spamming these in their highest strength regions (with some in regions you haven't contacted). Letting Advent pile these up is probably a very easy way to lose...
