There's a mod with Halo 5 weapons that has a Designated Marksman Rifle (DMR). It's basically an assault rifle with longer range stats. For awhile the mod was allowing my sniper to equip it, but it seems to have changed. I loved using it on my snapshot snipers as it really seemed to fit their role.

It sounds like the deeper root of the problem is losing too many important soldiers can end a campaign. Addressing ways to recover in mid to late campaign from a squad wipe or top tier soldier losses might reduce the effect of yellow alert. I have a feeling the scamper is just to make up for short c...

Probably someone already said this.

The workshop provides power so if you build GTS and AWC first and are lucky enough to have an exposed power coil in a good spot, you can put the workshop there which will be enough to supply two more vital rooms rather than a power generator.

I have not, but I've been curious too. Once I actually win a damned game, I'll definitely try it. Though I will probably play with both lw2 classes and shadow ops. The holo target scout seems like a cool idea.

What if PSI was treated like an AWC perk rather than a separate class? You would train your shinobi rather than a rookie. There could be some eligibility requirement like high will our something else.

More granular control over the setup.

Ability to setup legendary type of game but with slower alien progression and a few other things toned down.

I'm in June and have only one basic scope and one basic expanded magazine. I've an elite laser sight and tons of auto loaders. All I seem to get are auto loaders even though Advent has the scope dark event.

Use a scientist as a haven adviser in the region you are going to liberate along with a majority of personnel on Intel. That will get you very good infiltration times, even on supply raids. Haven citizens fighting back rather than standing in the open and getting shot on retaliation missions.

I always wondered how this game would be like under initiative mechanics rather than my turn your turn. Initiative would mean those with highest initiatives act first and most often. A ranger would get his two actions but not one after another... He would just appear in the order of actions more oft...

Low infiltration missions offer no concealment start and actually let Advent possibly get concealment from you. Don't know if the Advent AI is smart enough to deal with that though. So what is occurring when your shinobi slashes a badie for 18 and in the process destroys the wall he was going to take cover behind? Or your ranger shoots down at an advent trooper and blows out the facade that was providing half cover. Yet grenades don't do this much damage.

I've found suppression valuable on one of my Rangers. Comes in handy when an Assault fails to finish off a flank. I'm only at late, early game though.. so no idea how it holds up. Started out as a typical hack the computer mission with three soldiers... a specialist, ranger, and grenadier. Sneek to objective, hack, 'P' evac, retreat, smoke, and flashbang suppress enemy until evac. Only this time it just seemed like four or five pods converged on me at once plus reinforcements...
