With VIP starting unconcealed, my predicament is he will be spotted between turn 3 and 4 and survive until turn 5 at best. Thanks for that on Low Profile! How about Long Watch? If the soldier has AWC overwatch perks, then yeah, and Alpha Mike Foxtrot usually too. But taking it passes up Deadshot. Is it worth the trade? Bring more rockets/sappers? No. I mean having a second rocket is fine, as long as having second grenadier, but the hole point of ambush/raid missions is to get as much corpses and supplies as possible. DE implementation in LW2 is nonsensical - they just make your game into a massive "coin-flip" fest on a strategic level. Player has absolutely no way to counter them, besides relying on a random mission lead. We end up just ignoring them, until "+ health + armor + dodge " pile up...
