Hmm, the problem with toggling the FOW, is it completely removes it, so you have no idea what the limits of your vision are. Also I messed with FogDensity, and now I don't know how to set it back to default.

Also, is there a mod that removes the "fog" aspect of fog of war? Fair enough not to see where the aliens and such and so forth are, but I would like to be able to see the layout of the map, so I can plan my approach. Squinting into the fog is a bit hit or miss. I can't imagine with liter...

Update: Although the MEC was under player control, and marked as as hostile to ADVENT forces, it had no actions, and was essentially "stuck" as though stunned.

I have never liberated a region, but I would imagine you probably already have 13+ resistance personnel. It only takes a few prison breaks to get 'em. I suppose after that you might have to run the recruit job though, if you lose some.

I know it's been mentioned, just throwing my voice behind the No Infiltration option. IE. just launch the mission, as if you had just launched it at 100% infiltration. If you discover it earlier, you have more time to organise a strong squad to make best use of the opportunity.

Regards the Recruit job, I don't usually bother. Easier to just farm prison breaks, get 5-6 rookies or resistance personnel at a time.

I can see what you're saying, but you remove most of the decision making and benefit of promoting troops. It changes the balance of xcom gameplay too far from the soldier/tactical side to the strategic layer.

I've got to agree with Thriar. It's fairly common for the other trees to have 3 tasty options all in one tier, where as formidable is good, but nowhere near as good as Mayhem or Chainshot. Hail of Bullets feels like a higher tier perk anyway.

It would be different though if roust gave a complete new ability and not compete with flamer fuel, and was improved just a bit. TBH, I thought Roust had it's own charge, like the Concussion rocket. Curious about the DLC for this game. I have completely avoided it so far, because "Pay To Win" uber items hold relatively little interest for me, and story missions are my least favourite part of XCom. I prefer DLCs that add depth and mechanics to games. Which of the DLCs are worth getting?

I would suggest that Technicals have their flamethrower be on a cooldown, but keep the rockets to limited ammunition.
