Quite right, but you need to add the categories themselves to each weapon.

Now you are tempting me to try it out.
That code certainly did not exist in any functional form in the original game, so it will be interesting to check if Pavonis managed to add a sub-system of weapon types.

There is a new game that might pique your interest. It essentially has Factions which grant unique bonuses and technologies which you will be able to combine apparently.

No skill requires a specific type of weapon. There is no variable in the game code for semi-auto or full-auto weapons as far as I know. At higher difficulties those enemies appear sooner and a lot more often though. So a possible solution would be just to up the difficulty.

Well, one of the ways Long War 1 and Long War 2 make the war seem longer is by removing as much as possible all scripted/ weighted encounters. Corpse retrieval works "per mission" and not "per unit". So any mission where you can retrieve corpses does not have reinforcements. Otherwise you would be able to get hundreds of corpses by farming them. Hence why there are only a few mission types where you can get the corpses ...

@ seananigans - You are overlooking Reinforcements. Missions where you can collect loot and cadavers do not have Reinforcements turned on, for a good reason. It will be almost impossible to reconcile both mechanics - having more collect missions and still viable Reinforcements that could not be farm...

If you haven't already, have a look at the Stop Wasting my time mod. It hastens any fluff animations and cinematics.

Try to simply reinstall the mod - unsubscribe, then subscribe again. If something is bugged with your game files, going back to older version might cause other bugs to happen.
