I'm pretty sure i had a very trap feeling mission that was destroy the beacon. Did I just screw up bad or is it possible?

There is a mod out there that disables viper grabs against target in full cover, I find it to be a good middle-ground for balance.

High cover would naturally make it harder for the snake to bind but this way you're guaranteed no unexpected (and for some people game breaking) tricks.

just to clarify on my OP, different engineers would provide different % reduction, for example:
one room to clear, one engineer
:ugeek: bob smith: 50% time reduction
:geek: jane doe: 58% time reduction

ok this could be something to do with the Avengers event mod that sometimes levels up the engineers. I thought it was an LW2 feature but no, my bad.

I noticed some engineers provide bigger time reduction bonii for construction, room cleaning tasks.

1. Is there a way to see an engineer rank and or efficiency bonus?
2. Do they also provide varying bonii to staffing workshops, comms or power relay?

Is there a way to see notifications in the geoscape? Stuff like x got recruited somewhere. These notifications usually happen in bunch but only last for a couple of seconds, most of the time by the time I notice them they're already vanishing and I have no way of checking what just happened. hm I forgot about psi ofc. i'd rather have defense there and the psi value showing somewhere else, considering not everyone will have psi and it stands out in purple already anyway. Don't psi rolls use will or was that xcom1?

When inspecting a soldier in the armory their stats are displayed on two lines.
There is a gap in the bottom right corner.
Defense doesn't show in the list.

i had a similar experience in a recent destroy the relay mission. A supposedly light resistance turned into a bloodbath half way through as reinforcements kept pouring in. I somehow managed to finish the relay but i had to leave one of my best men bleeding out behing because am itchy fingered freak ...

Yeah I had a similar question. What is it you want to accomplish at a certain infiltration percentage? You usually either want to run the mission at as high infiltration as possible, or you need the soldiers back for a different mission. Most reasons that you'd have for wanting to infiltrate before...
