my shinobis constantly die and then I just buy the next recruits to Train them as my disposable Scout cannon fodder
(slightly kidding, shinobis are great but it's a fact that they're the class that dies most often on me. Once they get the reaper skill they're melee powerhouses).

I also don't think that scientists as haven managers are a good choice in most situations. As I see it, you really want to detect faceless as soon as possible for various reasons, them interfering with resource collection and speeding up retals being some of the reasons. Against faceless (even with Advent remaining) I like to set overwatch traps since they don't Regenerate the damage they take during their turn. Then, they're easier to finish off while hopefully some rebels remain to flashbang remaining Advent.

well that is a true great shame... i've bought the first xcom and hadn't played until i heard of LW... played and it made it a better game than it could ever been... even better with the enemy within expansion... same feeling with the xcom2... i can't even begin to fathom playing it without LW2... ...

My usual strategy is to forego the pull and snipe tactics and bumrush the ground enemy troops using consumables and cooldowns early, on multiple pod activations. That way you're getting the whole squad closer to the beacon faster and at the same time since there's less enemies on the ground, RNF is...

A region that's not liberated but high on vigilance will hold a lot of legions that would otherwise end up in the surrounding regions. Makes it easier to keep more regions at low strenght. I've done away with liberating more than 1 region. What I do is I focus down a region, the region gets so much vigilance that ADVENT starts moving legions and sending UFOs. Hopefully I can stop some of those for profit, but it's alright if you can't, since you can also do the Troop Columns. You'll ...
