The scientist came from the Alien Hunters DLC.

It gives you some unique weapons in a POI package. The package gets discovered by completing a mission, which in this case just happened to be a scientist rescue.

Better depends on the mission. Gunner squad has more raw firepower but the entire ninjitsu squad starts concealed on revealed start missions and the entite squad is not revealed if one of them attacks or gets spotted. The Ninjitsu Squad is composed entirely of shinobi wearing exosuits.

Their signiture attack is to activate Reaper then fleche themself into a good position to use the shredder gun.

The ones I hate the most are actually counter-intelligence sweep and air patrols because they slow me down at the strategic level, but to answer your question it was probably the one that increased detection radius combined with cryssalids on every mission.

Stealth became essentially impossible.

Haven't been able to get the console to work for some reason. Adding the -enableconsole extension to the launcher shortcut doesn't seem to do anything.

What video card are you using with those 2 monitors?

I would like to get rid of fog and make darkness and rain less frequent.

There isn't much point in having a good video card when the game makes everything fuzzy and difficult ti see.

I had a bunch of people on overwatch on a roof.

One of them shot at a drone that was in the building with a stansard ballistic rifle.

Managed to shoot the floor out from under themself, fell, started bleeding out, and caused the person who was next to them to panic.

You might be right.

I'm trying it out this game and going to tough it out with ballistics as long as I can.

In any case I posted the calculation methodology to give people a way of knowing exactly what the return on investment is for basic research.

The second one is definitely debateable, but the calculations above show it provides a net increase prior to T3.

The cumulative effect of both project gives increased resrarch starting on day 90.

Hi Swiftless. My guess is that you only ever saw one UFO because the low infiltration times convinced you to skip the discovery mission.
