I know many players can identify which enemies are on the map and possibly where from the sounds made during enemy turn. I can't. Keep in mind when deciding whether or not to OW with characters that an alien that gets shot doesn't get a yellow alert action. So you can use OWers as safety precaution against pods walking in on you.

Not a game changer, but something to keep in mind IMO.

Interference is ok. But pretty weak. Use it if for some weird reason you don't take LR on most assaults. Field surgeon is probably the better choice if not taking CF. I don't think that is worth it. I've tried this but it doesn't work well. A sharp is too slow and has too high detection radius without an SMG to be good as a scout, unless he gets ghostwalker and/or covert in AWC and you give him a speed PCS. Sure. But I didn't mean not to take a shinobi. I meant not taking shinobi as a spotter. Use holo as spotter, take shinobi anyway. Wouldn't a concealed holo officer make more sense with that? He can command just as fine, but also holo, which doesn't break concealment either. On top of it, he can help the team indirectly via Lead By Example, due to his way higher aim stat.

It won't come into play often, but keep in mind that sometimes AWC perks can change the optimal build for a soldier. A technical can, for example, get a lot of mileage from grenadier-related perks like Full Kit, since some of his skills work for rockets _and_ grenades.

There's a mod, too, that displays the faceless in each haven. I consider this okay as it saves me a lot of bookkeeping, while offering only a modest advantage.

A rendezvous mission, on the other hand, gives corpses and weapon mods.

So for me: always root out faceless first.
