I mean that 1.3 changes the game quite dramatically - the rnf start to show BEFORE the timer is expired even if concealed.
In 1.1-1.2 rnf doesn't drop until timer is expired or some scripted things (like 3 turns before the timer on hack/relay missions or the next turn after activation of the VIP).

It is a fresh new campaigh right after 1.5.
I even had to abandon my last 1.4 campaign right before last Network and Waterworld because of auto-update :-(

Hello everyone! So I was lucky and get it both almost at the same time. And of couse there was absolutely no way to counter it, as usual. First rnf is at turn 5 and the second wave - 2-3 turns after. That makes jail/rescue mission almost impossible until you boost it to EL and bring like 7 man squad...

Yes, doomclock is a real pain in LW2 on Legend consider Radio Relays nerf. It was possible to reduce avatar speed to 0% in 1.1-1.2 (I even managed to reached over 100% speed reduction late game and keep it so for a while even without 0% raids due to mass 3 mans stealth missions) but in 1.3+ I don't ...

The same on Legend. The start is somehow tough especially with Assassing Chosen but once you reach midgame - it's most likely done consider you don't do serious mistakes on tactical layer. There is still a chance to squadwipe but with immediate evac on most missions it's far less a threat then in LW...

CF is an awfull skil for ow spec as it force you to shot target IN COVER (-45% chance to hit and almost 0% to crit) instead of shooting moving target with like 80% to hit and 50% to crit.
It's an ok on low aim grenadier as AWC skill due to -10 to hit penalty but not for good aim OW moster.

For me - technical is the perfect tank with smoke/formidable so it doesn't need high aim as a prime stat (rather dodge and HP) and need both vest and abblative + formidable to do some tanky thigs. It's 50% normaly and so I never try to slice an uncontrolled muton but I still don't understand how this piece of meat could counterattack (or do anything) while burning?!
I can accept chryssalid/faceless/bers's melee while burning - they are melee only after all but mutton...

Hmmm good point!
I did the same at some point back in 1.1-1.2 and it worked but they were so slow with shotguns especially grendiers.
And 1.3+ forced me to move a lot so I didn't consider to try it in 1.5.
Also shotgun has a range penalty - how does it interact with Sentinel OW on specialist?

Shinobis. ... in late game my shinobis have fusion blades but still carry ballistic SMGs. I think you don't get all of your shinoby that way. Give him coil/plasma SMG, choose a target so the other would be close to him an damage it (HoB gunner - for example) enough to be killed with the first slice...

Basic Mag also unlock MK2 gauntlet - which is very powerfull in terms of cover destruction as it have 25 inv. damage. MK1 have only 20. It also has some nice other boost (panic chance, fire dmg). Don't worry - the command range is usually enough except for the situation where shioby scouts faaar away to spot ayys for sharps in the nest. Very common in all timelerless missions like HQ/raid/column/UFO. It's the LOS requirement that cause the most troubles for commmand. You want to command this...

In 1.4 coil requires both - adv. mag. and elerium. No laser though. That's why some players skip laser and rush mag to coil.
There were no comments in the latest patchs update about changing amy resarch paths so you will still have to research mag to reach coil.

It really depends on the playtyle. I don't use low aim sharps at all and all of my 4 sharps are dfa-crit-kubikiry specced. Even after nerf to dfa it still seems strong enough to me to trade it for holo-spec. May be snapshot is a good alternative in timed mission but I don't consider sniper at all fo...

Shinoby could and will do a lot of damage every mission from the very beginig till the very end (more so at the end). So he utilize early rounds where he have to stay in shadow to command/oscar mike/focus fire. And in the second half of mission he become a major dps. Holo officer couldl not be even ...

Can confirm that shinobis are by far the best officers now. OW spec. could be an option IF you pick TA instead of FO on them due to defence prot himself + comand.
