Right. I think he got specially unlucky with that evac right in the middle of 4 pods. Even then it looked like he would at least make it out with one guy and a little bit of loot, but the risk he took on that one didn't pay off sadly. If anything, at least it made for a very edge-of-the-seat moment.

In my case I play with both NCE and HP off and Commander´s Choice installed because I have my character pool with characters meant to play a specific role. I couldn't stand to have my mock-up Predator be anything other than a Shinobi for example. :D

Up until today I had been considering starting a new campaign while waiting for 1.3, just to log in today and see they already posted the CS translation thread. Guess I'll wait for a while longer then. :P

I know it´s not the same, but in one of his latest videos he shows a mod he installed recently (can´t remember the mod´s name), which provides only the names of the infiltrating soldiers when you click on "view squad" in a mission. Check out one of the last 3 or 4 videos.

I'd really love a literal long war, free from the rush of trying to stop the avatar project. It would give more opportunities to enjoy the late game techs and new toys, I think. But I still have to win a campaign in LW2 (already did in vanilla though), so I have that to worry about for the time being.

Well, there is a good portion of the snake's body that is not entangled with the soldier, so it´s not that crazy to think you can hit it without hitting your man.

Well, there's some randomness that's just silly, that could be overcome by starting many games and selecting one of them, so I see no problem modding it away.
