Re: Weirdly Low Income
(EDIT: the month just ended and the listed income spiked up to 294... is this an indication of tons of Faceless or what The number in parantheses shows you much maximum money you can make this month - depending on how many days are left and how many current rebels you have set to supplies. Wet Work Balance
So from what I know, kills account for at best ~15% of your soldiers' experience. With that said, how on earth is taking Wet Work ever worthwhile? It's 150 supplies, which for most of the game is not a negligible cost, and gives you about 5% more experience. This seems like a glaring balance issue t...

Re: How is calculated the AWC retraining time?
The bigger question is why you post 50 threads with broken English on basic questions. Oi. Calm down, mate- I'm as much an advocate of any for grammar on the Internet, but there's no reason to be this aggressive; not everybody has English as their first language, and not everybody knows how to go ....

As I mentioned- this is late July, specifically July 26th, which as far as I'm aware isn't lategame...Starwatcher162536 wrote:Are you late-game? Regions have finite resources so over time you get less and less supplies from them holding how many you have on the supply job constant.

Weirdly Low Income
So for reasons I don't understand, my Haven in New Australia- which has 13 resistance members on supplies- has an income of $141. I don't get why this is- all of my Havens have advisers assigned to them, so I wouldn't expect there to be that many Faceless. I know that as you gather more supplies in ...

Gunner Questions
Does Cool under Fire affect reaction shots from Suppression? It says "Overwatch and other reaction shots" so I assume so, but it's a tad unclear. How much does Danger Zone increase Area Suppression by? Is it a 4-square radius to a 5-square radius? Is Mayhem worth it over Formidable in a Su...

Re: How are people liberating regions so fast?
Ok, so I just had my first game over. I lagged a lot at the start, and then a ton of problems happened, and I only liberated my first region in November. On mostly Rookie (Started in Veteran, then dropped down because I didn't like the no-flare-reinforcements) Cue Doom Tracker filling up completely...

Damn Good Ground is actually the +aim/crit from higher ground. Death from Above is the rank 2 perk that removes Squadsight penalties and gives you a free action if you kill an enemy at a lower elevation. Focus Fire is the rank 1 officer perk that gives a cumulative +5 to hit for every shot taken at...

Re: Rapid Response Overtuned?
I dont think the dark event is as bad as people claim it is. Yes, the first time I had to deal with it I raged hard as I tried to do a "destroy device" mission the typical way. However if you know the event is active, you just have to resort to a more stealth oriented approach. Try to be ...

Re: Rapid Response Overtuned?
LW1 & 2 were basically designed around the player knowing what to expect on missions (especially on difficulty levels above rookie), because they're intended to be replayable. That means that you have a rough time if you go into it without knowing what's going on (Newfoundland is the classic ex...

And for network tower, use a shinobi to hit the objective before you lose concealment. That way to reinforcements at all. ...no clue how you managed that. I literally hit a network tower I started infiltrating 3-4 weeks in, and the map was covered with far too many enemies for me to be able to sneak it- I had to brawl my way through. Like I couldn't get past the first raised building on the left, because there was a s...

I play with Hidden Potential but it didn't occur to me that this could really play havoc with the +40 Hacking bonus that SQ Specialists get until I just finished training a couple of them. One of my SQ Specialists rolled well and is sitting at 68 Hacking. The other SQ Specialist didn't roll so well...

Rapid Response Overtuned?
I currently have the "Rapid Response' Dark Event active in my campaign; it's only been active for about five days, and it already seems heavily overtuned to me. On a perfectly ordinary Rescue the VIP mission, with Extremely Light resistance, I had three reinforcement pods drop by 8 turns into t...

snip tower mission shooting fish in a barrel. I had one of these, except I managed to sneak my Shinobi unto the objective and camp there until next turn for the reveal. I didn't even see any enemies on the way to the objective. The objective guarding pod were on the middle of the roof on the object...

Re: Boltcaster sucks a ding dong?
There's already a mod that allows the weapons of the hunt to be duplicated, so if Pavonis really wanted multiple copies they wouldn't make it a wierd glitchy method that gives you nothing if you don't do it "right". Personally they might as well be available for manufacture, aside from th...

That was really interesting! About the large pod drop, hopefully it starts counting after you are not stealthy anymore? Because that would be frightening! :| Thanks for the appreciation! In timed objective missions (like data tap, destroy relay) the timer starts counting after you have both broken ...

Asia Continent Bonus
So the Long War 2 continent bonuses are randomized, which I think makes a lot of sense. But I'd argue that you should have a separate pool for Asia, at least; I contacted all 4 regions in Asia before I researched Resistance Radio thinking it'd be a good bonus, and then got Under the Table(+20% suppl...

Re: Crit Resistance and Dodge/Crit Interaction?
So, we know the reworked hit mechanics mean dodge counters crit and vice versa.... My question is this: Does crit resistance (from Resilience, Nanoscale Vest, etc) apply BEFORE the crit/dodge interaction (thus mitigating dodge-loss to crit), or after? There is no direct interaction. The way it work...

Re: [Suggestion for 1.3] Adjustments to the Psi Ops
For psis, you are not guaranteed to get it at rank 1. In fact who knows when you'll get it. Psis are by flavor/design supposed to be "wizards" in the sense that "magical" attacks replace conventional weaponry. Does striking one enemy for minor to modest damage every 4 turns soun...

Re: Boltcaster sucks a ding dong?
I confirm, I had a grenadier with a frost bomb infiltrating when I got the bugged second copy of the weapon POI, and indeed I got another frost bomb so now I have two total. Are you certain it's a bug, though? Perhaps a bug that you only get one of weapons not in your inventory, but tbh given the n...
