Double Tap is also the default for my sharpshooters. I mean, their job is to kill the most dangerous/annoying thing in the pod and it needs to happen when I desire it. Usually the shieldbearer; see white on the field, rage mode enabled!

They are the absolute easiest with one to three snipers and a shinobi, just as Pwk87 suggests. Technical with a javelin rocket, or better yet, bunker buster, as a safety net if the map is not giving you a sight-line.

Yeah, had the same happen to me, on the map that's already broken (no able to vault through low-cover glass windows).

Agreed, the cost is too low, just do not put it behind a corpse requirement.
Add a new resource, "alien goo", that is rendered from pure-bred alien corpses and use for various crafting, problem solved via much effort and coding.

I run one of each when I can run 10man squads (one borrowed from beta team). One rocketeer and one flamer. Had bunker buster for a while on my main technical, it can be fantastic for collapsing an entire building (fall damage on aliens) and it has a large radius as well. It suffers from range though...
