Re: Bug with Shen's Last Gift and PoI's.

Just chiming in, version 1.1, fresh campaign.

Also got a second Shen's Last Gift PoI after a mission.

I assume it doesn't go away? Is it safe to run a second time or will that break the fabric of space and time? ;)

Re: Can't resume Psi training

Oh, so they NEED to gain a level? OK. I can live with that. Don't fret, they will only need 72 days (on veteran, if difficulty scales it) to train the meaty abilities. Even with a scientist to lower it by 50%, that's a lot of training. I truly hope the effort is worth it (Voidrift, 72 days), which ...

Re: Flamethrower boost

It used to be seven, now it's six. And I'd say it shouldnt count the tile you're standing on or you'd call melee weapons as having two range. One tile is surely a big deal for anybody. The late game technical skill increases range by one, and the late game grenadier skill boosts it by only two, so ...

Re: Flamethrower boost

Is range counted from, or including, the tile the soldier is standing on? Because I just realized the gauntlet actually lists flamethrower range as 7 on the stat screen, yet it extends only 6 tiles. Even the preview lines to the side of the cone extend 7 as far as I can tell, yet the high-lighted ti...

Re: Weapon attachments

Just as an aside, I'm very glad there are so many meaningful and varied choices, and strategies/compositions following them, in LW2.

Almost every single proving ground project has true value, and even with double engineers aiding Shen, picking what to manufacture and when is no easy decision. ;)

Re: Flamethrower boost

Burning is a very powerful debuff in LW2. Aside from the damage over time it disables all actions. The AI reacts to it by running back and forth, which i highly exploitable via overwatch. Try starting a fight by ambushing a whole pod with the flamer, you basically win as soon as you confirm the abi...

Re: How greedy with supply raid/troop ambush?

My next play-through will certainly see me sending in ten guys at 0%, simply to harvest the alien bastards for tastier Advent burgers. So far I've been silly and brought the numbers down by going to 100% just to prevent the reinforcements, not giving a thought to treating them as instantly completed...

Re: Had to restart...Glad I did.

Got to say I would love a "Raid the supply or factory facility producing venoms rounds" type mission and other some such. That sounds like a marvelous idea. Go through yet another mission, with extra beefy opposition, to perhaps gain knowledge of proving grounds objects and bypassing the ...

Re: Game Suddenly Ends in Defeat

One simple question from me; is the doom counter/tracker/whatever accurate? I'm pushing as hard as I can (only veteran, learning campaign) and so far it's going very well, tracker stands on two with one instant bar dark event countered. Skull-jack ready to be made, one region liberated, two others u...

Re: Game says I dont have any main/story researches to do. Also, I'm not picking up corpses

Any mission you evac out from does not yield corpses, the others do. Taking wounds just to secure corpses is rather macabre, but that's the way it goes sometimes. ;)

Infiltration boosted without effect when region HQ is taken

HQ taken by xcom, which I knew would trigger any missions currently being infiltrated in the region. I only had one active, "ambush troop convoy", standing at 57% completion. I could click boost infiltration, it warned me of the cost per usual and became grayed out afterward, yet the 57% r...

Re: Some maps to Big

Yeah, I've not even played LW2 myself yet (still holding off until 1.1 hits, which is tantamount to near physical pain at this point) but watching xwynns on his legendary play-through really drills home the concept of objective above all else. Thus the tactical approach of simply bypassing every sin...

Recommended and compatible mods for LW2?

It's been a while since I fired up Xcom2 and the plethora of mods I used to run. I'm doing a fresh install in preparation for LW2 1.1 and am simply asking for recommendations regarding mods that go well with it. Preferably quality of life alterations and additions, as well as visuals and the like, j...

Re: Pending Changelist for 1.1 (NOT RELEASED)

I decided to wait for 1.1 to hit the streets before starting my epic journey. I'm not sure that was the best of decisions. For the sake of cuddly kittens and blameless rookies, give it to us! Oh, right; ridiculously awesome work on the overhaul ('tube to the rescue), my monies are ready to be applie...

Thank You

Figured we'd start off with a brand new yet very relevant; thank you very much for version 1.0.

I can smell the blood, sweat and tears (and alien goop) infusing this awesome creation.

Countdown to the Terra kickstarter!
