Let me figure that out. I'm not against it, but I don't have a ton of bandwidth to maintain that sort of thing, so it depends on how much it requires of me. At a minimum we'll get a lively forum structure going once LW2 is released.

One of our testers is assessing a list of nearly 500 mods and their compatibility with Long War 2. We intend to make that public, with the caveat that not all of them have undergone in-depth testing so there may be errors. For the most part, we avoided duplicating effort by other modders unless it directly supported our new features, so stuff like Flank Preview and Numeric Health Display will need to be added separately (they do work with LW2, though).

Thanks for thinking of us. LW2 will be free. It was commissioned by 2K Games so it wouldn't be appropriate for us to accept money for it.

For Long War EU/EW, the magnificent WGhost and several others did a port. I think it wasn't TOO much work. The main thing for Long War 2 is whether Mac/Linux has received the Patch 7 update ... Pistols have range penalties; we actually put them on the SMG table (which is not as long range as an assault rifle but better than a shotgun). We didn't add ammo / reloads to them this go-round. But I'm going to say it here, and say it many times: Read the in-game archives. (Remember our read the readme chant with the original Long War? That kind of stuff is in-game now. But people gotta go read 'em to learn about the new mechanics.)

Pistols are now utility items that anyone can carry. Shinobi keeps the sword. Specialist keeps the Gremlin. Grenadier keeps the Grenade Launcher. Long War 2 will be one big mod. Our prior mods were essentially our modular releases, although they've been integrated, updated and balanced for Long War 2.

The seven perk pack classes are in Long War 2, but they have all been completely overhauled for our new mechanics and balance. The Heavy armors are still in the game. For the other classes they give access to the gun-type heavy weapons. For the Technical they give extra uses of the Rocket Launcher or the Flamethrower.
