I just missed 3 80% (+8% to grace, 12% dodge) shots in a row. Sorry, not in the same category, but I just had to vent somewhere, somehow ADVENT pulled a 0.1728% success on me.

You don't really need to slow down Avatar with vigilance. I've completed multiple Legend campaigns when I've been at 0% pretty much all the time, you just gotta identify the Facility Lead missions (and contact the regions) and be quick with the Skulljack.

Works alright until you have to leave something uncontrolled because you ran out of actions or you have to leave someone in the open because MECs don't give a damn about being near cover. Fun times tho.

My incentive for the early liberation is mostly so I can get the cash for the buildings I'm gonna need. Power Relay + Resistance Comms is $225, then the Laboratory is another $125. Around the same time I'd also want the Proving Grounds which is cheap at $50 but usually I also want the Workshop next ...

Oh I know where they spawn, I just had to fight Viper King on April 18th with 6 soldiers using ballistics on a Light-Moderate Troop Column. It wasn't nice having him circle around the rainbow pod. I know, it's a mod that's not a part of the LW2 base and I don't use it because it makes the game easier. Like Commander's Choice.

Of course not, it's redacted like a washing machine instruction manual (put this here, when light goes yellow flip that) and it assumes you play with the mod that reveals vigilance, which I do not.

Probably not. At least not when you're doing very important research (say you have no resources for a weapon tech), and even less if you know there's a Retaliation off of cooldown waiting to happen. In my experience they do benefit from Trial by Fire. At least I haven't seen any SPARK under SGT not level while under a Trial by Fire officer.

I'd say taking another big delay on weapon tech for an advantage that will pay off so late might not be worth it, specially when you're on a race between Coil and T3.

A region that's not liberated but high on vigilance will hold a lot of legions that would otherwise end up in the surrounding regions. Makes it easier to keep more regions at low strenght. I've done away with liberating more than 1 region. What I do is I focus down a region, the region gets so much vigilance that ADVENT starts moving legions and sending UFOs.
