Not sure why you are doing such an issue about "destroy the device". Unless you bring a sizeable team with like 3 snipers, you'll spend quite some time shooting at that relay and out of cover, enough time that you're not safe from wandering pods with your 2 guys (the shinobi being busy obs...

I've had it trigger a couple times but it's rare. Also from my Psi Op's chances at insanity i would say that aliens like Mutons and Vipers have surprisingly lower will than an Advent troopers so you probably have better chances at making a muton panic than common troopers. Not guaranteed to get solace, and in my game mind whips are only -10 will and +10 psi offense. And yes I use them anyways. Woohoo, soulfire goes from 4-6 to 5-7. The number of missions isn't really an issue since you can take them out of the tank and resume training when they return, what is an issue is the infiltration time that's basically lost time. I think you don't give Psy Ops enough credit. They were totally overpowered in vanilla which is probably why they look bad now that they are simply good. - neither of them have 100 psi offense (both have 93, ouch) Did you equip them a mindwhip? -20 will is of no concern once you have solace and +20 ...

Iron Curtain isn't just useful for slowing down the enemy. It's also a cone AoE attack, like Trench Gun, Street Sweeper, Technical flamethrower attacks, and Gunner's own Saturation Fire. Iron Curtain is, IMO, far superior to Demolition. Gunners have far better things to do than take out one lousy tile of cover. Maybe. Pawnman, you forgot good defense, regeneration, close combat specialist to kill those assaults trying to get a sure shot and the ability to jump on roofs to flank your snipers :twisted:

Yeah, outsiders in LW1 were so easy compared to the enemies in LW2 :roll:

I agree generally that stealth is slightly too good on some of those maps. Or too reliable at least -- it should be possible to pull off a stealth win as you describe, but I shouldn't be able to count on missions going that way. Oh please don't ask the devs to put some random out-of stealth system ...

One of the things LW2 introduced that vanilla XCom2 was missing is viable stealth strategies so i sure don't want to see stealth reduced to "easy first pod" as it was (mostly) in vanilla XCom2. That being said, for those 2 particular missions, possibly something could be done to make Adven...

Yeah, maybe sapper is great once you have Combat engineer in addition to be able to blow every cover but one of them is your first perk and the other one your last one. I don't really want to have a dead perk until i reach master sergeant.

Sapper takes the cake imo. Needle grenades, especially on the higher difficulties where 1 grenade will rarely kill enemies anyway, is just a luxury perk. That's what i expect. Probably those structures are fixed to 100% to hit chance, but then grazing band turns the lower 10% (or whatever value you specify) into a graze. That mission and the next (last liberation) are tough You are assaulting heavily guarded advent installations.
