Valaska, I have often taken Implacable myself and it's fantastic, but TBH it's a waste once you get Reaper. I need to respec them to Tac Sense. One difference I make for my blade shinobis is to take Conceal instead of Hard Target. I roll with only one in a squad so they have to scout before reaping....

Doesn't Firestorm make you Fire Immune? Why do you need a Hazmat Suit on one to make it good? You don't I suppose, but all my techs wear hazmat suits as a matter of course.. so they can move though the flames they cause. Yeah, locked on and rapid fire can decimate MECs and shredded sectopods. One of my rangers has shred on her rifle, she can rip apart 6 armor in one turn with rapid. WHat about if less than 50% infil, you start with 2 pods in sight range and no concealment - good luck with that ! :)

Safely? Wear a hazmat suit. ;-) You have to run way ahead of your squad, into a UFO packed with 3 pods is a good one. :lol:

I played xcom 2 the base game 40 hours for the entire year I had it. Long war 2 so far in 2 weeks alone I have clocked in 60 hours. I'd clocked in ~150hours in the vanilla game since release, seeing your post i somewhat sheepishly decided to check steam .. i'm up to 354hours spent now :D First step...

Incendiary Bombs - how do you make more than 1?

So I got an Incendiary Bomb from proving ground but I can't make any more - is this by design? I suppose maybe it's a balance thing because these are a little OP. :)

My 2 cents: Ranger, to me, is just a chassis upon which I build my officers later. They are the most likely to be positioned within the center of my group to begin with due to their default skill & equipment sets, which avoids the leadership radius problems that happen if you try to turn someon...

Last night I had my second downed UFO and only B squad with 4 up to date weapons (plasma rifle & SMG + coil cannon & shottie) couple of warden and 1 WAR rest are in predator. This was VERY HEAVY mission. Half teh squad are using mag, we're in Feb now... so plenty of DEs. Oh, also no sting na...

And it failed last night again, got 22 days in infirmary from that. Next mission I shoot the MEC dead before it turns just like I used to and the trojan virus message popped up for the dead MEC! So it's too unreliable to use for me at the moment. I now have 2 savefiles where it fails.

Is it just me or is finding the ppl to rescue them the hardest part of teh haven defense missions? Last two I have been unable to find 2 of the people, have explored the entire map and they are no where to be seen. Flamethrowers have a purpose. They *do* work. Xwynn's proven that pretty effectively, but at times they're wonky and not ideal. Generally getting close to aliens sounds like major risk. It didn't wow me at first, but after some use a Ranger with shredder and hit'n'run is pretty badass.

Another has Lethal which is also rather nice.

Guardian on a gunner is great for overwatching.

I would like to see the shredder and fire&steel perks swapped. Burnout is too useful if you flame a lot like I do, and I would definitely mix it up between phosphorous and shredder. This way a tech can still be useful when not rocket/flaming by shredding armour.
