From my point of view it's a great idea. I think they've already announced that Psi Ops will be there own class though. Another problem with this is that it would mean you couldn't equip the Psi Amp as it counts as a secondary, which will be already equipped as determined by the initial class.

Will my character pool be safe to use?
So I'm preparing a character pool for the Long War 2 but I'm wondering: Considering you select distinct classes of you're character in the pool does that mean I'll have to reset all of them to a LW class for them to show, or am I safe to leave them as is and have them still show?

Pistols are now utility items that anyone can carry. Shinobi keeps the sword. Specialist keeps the Gremlin. Grenadier keeps the Grenade Launcher. That's technically possible, yes, but it's funny, now that we've gone pro I feel like we should avoid stuff like that. Weird, I know -- it's the kind of thing we'd do in a heartbeat back in the LW/EW days. Easy enough for someone else to mod in; if I get time I can see about creating the templates ...

I actually like the idea of the DLC weapons being on what is fundamentally a different progression cycle, it means they won't always be automatic picks, narrowing down the use of other gear, and it also makes when you do get their upgrades more special. I certainly see your point, however it should...

Were you able to add tiers of weapons to the Spark and to other DLC that just use the same models? That wouldn't bother me one bit. It's nice to have custom graphics but the gameplay is what matters. So there's no Spark variants to your mods, but will there be new weapons of the laser and coil tier regardless of cosmetic for SPARKS? Same question for Alien Hunter weapons.

You know what I think would be awesome and terrifying? If the Etherials were huge. Like three stories tall huge, taking up 2X2 spaces like the Sectopod.
