If you set the grenades in the config files to zero weight it would remove the weight penalty. But that would include all grenades, including the ones in your inventory. I agree with what was just said. Have the infiltration time available for a mission be on a curve, so most of the results are at a reasonable level.

An easy way to fix psi-ops is to just give them no infiltration time on a mission. The first psi soldier can be added for free, and maybe even reduce things overall. They are mind readers after all , which would be a great advantage for infiltration.

Something needs to get done about the scamper mechanic. it is the most annoying thing about Longwar, and is the reason that forces stealth mission or overwatch crawls. Yeah, this is reminding me why I mod out the mobility penalties. The mobility penalties don't provide a challenging fair tradoff. They just flat out limit character options . A lot more builds are possible otherwise, one of them being giving a boltcaster to a Grenadier or Specialist.

When you are clearly winning a mission , reinforcement pods are fun. You know they are going to just drop down into the middle of your squad, where everyone is waiting on overwatch. :D

And here is another balance. One that is probably a lot simpler. The reason we are so strapped for supplies at the beginning is because almost everything needs to be put into expansion, because it makes the most strategic choice. The rate of supplies you get can barely keep up with the intel points....

Well yeah their would be 'supplies' needed in making items, but it would be relatively small compared to other things you can do with supplies. You do have an option to do that. After the game starts go into the options menu, and under one of the tabs is the option 'pause on recruit'. I don't understand why that is not enabled by default though. And for each campaign you have to keep resetting it.

No matter how you put it, even if other classes have the same hacking stat as the specialist, you will still want to use the specialist for hacking. The fact that is remote makes a big difference for the stealth missions, the advanced gremlins give hack bonuses that are not possible to other classes...

Covering fire is always put at low levels of perk trees. It is useless there. When you level up then , you are selecting a perk that worsens your character rather then make it better.
