maximum no of missions available simultaneously
Hi, is there a maximum number of missions, that can be available at the same time, within one region? I know that it is limited within mission types, so that you can only have 2 guerilla ops available at the same time, for example. But lets say I have x missions availabe with long timers in region A...

Re: I love my loot grenadier!
One thing though, do they do well in late game? You rarely ever kill things with grenades late game, do you? I'm super close to finishing the game on Veteran difficulty (and haven't even upgraded my grenade launchers yet). My needle grenadiers are averaging ~3.5 kills per mission. I have one with 7...

Re: Would you think valid a strategy based in one suicide shinobi?
I never use any plan that contains "sacrifice". My soldiers are the best of mankind so I treat them like valuable persons, not just quest-machines. I always have a plan to survive the missions (I skip all certain death missions). Every soldier has its own value - even rookies. I try to li...

Re: Questionable Perks
failsafe is very very bad. i have no idea why people like that perk. the relevant consequence of failing a hack in any situation where you care about the hack is always that you didn't get the hack success reward, not that you have to suffer the hack failure punishment. the times i can remember me ...

Re: LW2 Strategic Layer: Managing Strength and Vigilance
You know it is a good day, when you open up the pavonis forums and JoINrbs replied to a gazillion topics. :D That sound like a sound strategy. Fits pretty much the way I am trying at the moment. One question though. After seeing your "Manipulating Spawn Conditions for Guerrilla Ops" video,...

Re: Pistol Builds?
As I recall you actually have to select the Shadowkeeper shot - its not an "always on" benefit of the pistol and as such I think its only once per mission (could be wrong here but I know I've never used it twice in a mission) I think you are right, that would make my idea worthless. It wo...

Re: Failed Rendezvous, now zero Resistance Members
Yep, a soldier as advisor can recruit on his own. Also, the avenger counts as 4 resistance members if you scan in the region, but afaik only as intel. This would give you the chance to find jail break missions. If a rendezvous seems too hard, just evac out. The faceless will be gone (even though the...

I'll raise you a question.
Can someone give a description or point me in the direction where I can read a detailled explanation about what gives how much xp?

Re: Perks questions
2. Well, a sniper can shoot a target, that is spooted by any squad member, if he has line of sight, theoretically across the whole map. Do these enemies count for the bonus? My guess is, no, but I want to be sure. Still not sure i understand There is no reason Executioner doesn't increase your aim ...

Re: How do Cool Under Pressure & Covering Fire calculate?
Your question is more towards overwatch in general. The perks don't change the general calculation of the overwatch. Covering fire certainly doesn't. As far as I know, reaction fire shots calculate just like any shots, minus the aim penalty. They calculate at the tile where the shot is triggered, th...

Perks questions
I am sure everyone has questions regarding perks. Here are a few of mine.
Center Mass: Does it apply to pistols, too?
Walk Fire and Executioner: I guess sqaud sight does not count for snipers?
Lead by example: Does this woprk, even if the officer has worse stats than the soldier?

Re: How do Cool Under Pressure & Covering Fire calculate?
What exactly are you confused about?
Covering Fire:
Overwatch shots can now be triggered by any enemy action, not just movement.
Cool Under Pressure
You gain +10 Aim on Overwatch and other reaction shots, and they can critically hit.

Re: Pistol Builds?
I haven't tried pistol builds yet, but I just remembered, that I have the Shadowkeeper, a pistol that gives you stealth, when you kill an enemy. That should be amazing on a shinobi with pistol perks. I haven't tried yet, but afaik, you can get stealth multiple times with that Btw, does quickdraw go ...

Re: New and Improved Dark Events Thread
As far as I know, they already can only be a max of 1 region away from your "owned" area. But this doesn't help too terribly much, as until very late game, the number of adjacent areas that you don't own is many. (...) I would very much like to see a return of LW1's enemy inspection syste...

Re: New and Improved Dark Events Thread
I actually wouldn't mind DEs, if I have a chance to counter them, or reverse them. I am already rushing to resistance comms, because I figure, the more regions I have, the higher the detection/counter chance. Maybe the DEs could only start maximum of x regions away from your starting haven for the f...

So you go PG, before resistance comms?Jacke wrote:You want GTS first, then AWC second. Third will be power unless you get lucky and get PoI's that assign power to the Avenger. In my campaign I did and so I have the PG now too. Have a shielded coil ready for the Laboratory next.

Which rooms to build first
Hi folks, simple question. In what order do you build rooms? GTS first (duh!) 2nd labratory (Seems logical to me, but I find, that the bigger issue is supplies, so that I can't use the researched tech anyway) or AWC 3rd power 4th ? Is it better to ruhs to resistance comms? As in: GTS, power, resista...

Re: Officer Leadership Bonus questions

Re: Officer Leadership Bonus questions
Great, thanks! Covertness: 0.0075/mission, cap 0.25 Will: 1/mission, cap 40 Dodge: 1/mission, cap 20 Aim: 0/mission, cap 0 Defense: 0/mission, cap 0 So 10 missions under the same officer result in +10 dodge and +10 will and 0.075 covertnes. That is actually not bad. I think I might even use a 3 man ...

Re: DFA vs. Rapid Targeting
To be honest, I think holotargeting shouldn't even be on the sniper. To me, it should be an officer perk or maybe a shinobi thing. To me, a sniper sits way back and well, snipes. The holotargeting, should be a support FOR the sniper, not by the sniper. I realy enjoyed snipers in Vanilla and I refuse...
