Re: It's a trap!

It shouldn't unless Pavonis added a new variation of the Snare mission. However reinforcements car vary greatly based on Alert Level (Strength) so if this mission was part of the liberation chain (+3 Alert level) in a high Alert region you might get some pretty fast reinforcements. In addition the ...

Re: No POIs - wasn't this fixed?

Hello folks, I'm well into a LW2 campaign and I've noted for the last 10 or so ingame months, I've had no POIs other than the normal guerrila missions and golden path stuff. I've had no soldiers to collect, no MECs, and no DLC missions other than lost towers which I've done. When I do Intel package...

What about if it lived up to its name -- and applied an aim penalty equal to Suppression to the unit that was fired at?

Re: List of what do you want to see so much

I want a bit more strategic approach to liberating regions. Like I want to have reasons to liberate THIS particular region or THAT particular region. So player would make choice based on his strategy/preferences. Right now it is kinda limited, it really basically doesn`t matter which region you lib...

Re: Walk out of suppression, no reaction shot, but still "Suppressed" aim penalty?

I second that. Similar situations happend to me multiple times during my campaign. ADVENT Gunner area supresses. I run the supression (sometimes taking damage) far out of the area supress field, but i end up still with the supress debuff. I'm not sure if this is WAD, but I'm also not sure if I want...

Re: How are people liberating regions so fast?

Well, to me it sounds, the getting spotted part was the important thing. IMO you need to open up by hacking. No reinforcements and you have 2 full turns to kill them, without cover or the need to be careful. I've been following this thread with a certain amount of bemusement. I've done I think thre...

Re: Dead ADVENT General on HQ Assault granting 'Fire Discipline' and 'Defilade(?)' to Aliens stading near his corpse

On my first ever HQ assault, I engaged the Boss Pod with the General from Range with my sniper. Upon inspection of the Alien Units, all of them benefitted from 2 command effects (officer perks) from the General, similar to how XCOM units would from their officer perks. However, these effects persis...

Re: Final Countdown?

It is the same in vainilla, was changed in a patch because "surfing" the countdown was, basically, an exploit. If you play vainilla before the patch probably didn't see it I think a more fair nerf would be to reset the counter to halfway between the current time and the full time. You _co...

Re: Holodeck UI improvements

Doubling up on what Jacke said, the 'breakpoints' are not discrete. It's very common that I will check the mission every 2-3% after 100% to see if I hit the 125% breakpoint early. For controlling time on the geoscape you can use the console command `slomo`. Values < 1 will slow down the game clock ...

Description of redscreen rounds says that they lower hack defense by 25 with every hit. But neither redscreen bullets nor bluescreen bombs do not stack down hack defense. Description wrong? Do you mean EMP grenades, or the Bluescreen Bombs perk for Grenadiers? I'm pretty sure I _have_ seen my Blues...

Dark event settings are mostly in code not in config files. Looks like the Haven Infiltration lasts 45-60 days. That is CRAZYYYYYYYYYY long, I knew it. it's essentially "you cannot recruit for 2 freaking months." Please adjust to 14 days, Pavonis. :o Do you happen to know what the exact e...

Vital Point Targeting: Does it only apply to the sniper applying the holotargeting, any sniper with VPT, or all units? I had assumed the first or second, but I've recently seen a few comments that seem to imply the last, which would make it a vastly better perk...

Re: Feedback from no <50% infil campaign

At the moment, if there are soldiers I want to rank up, I send them as a ‘third wheel’ on stealth missions, rather than sending them on combat missions, which doesn’t make a whole lot of sense. Yeah it doesn't make too much sense that the third wheel gets experience for essentially walking to the e...

Re: noise table and info?

I think you need a squad of 3 with 2 Shinobis and 1 other troop as the bomber with the shaped charge. A Shinobi each scouts for the VIP and the bomber so they stay out of sight of the pods. The bomber detonates the charge in such a way not to be seen by a pod. Then each pair is lead by the Shinobi ...

Re: Recovering from loss

But it does seem to cause a downward spiral. Most of that squad will be in the hospital bed for a month. Which means you are understaffed for later missions, which caused more loss, etc. In general lw2 is less forgiving then lw1 when it comes to recovering from loss. If you get a squad wipe, it is ...

I just had my specialist have the same hack reward show up twice when hacking a surviellance post -- I could try for Damage Immunity at 100% chance, or Damage Immunity at 20% chance.

Needless to say, I took Damage Immunity at 100% chance.

2) Technicals lack the utility of a class like the Grenadier, in terms of attack types. It would be nice, for example, if the flamethrower could be made to use a poison attack, or spray low damage, armour shredding acid, or spray a line of obscuring smoke. Not sure how it would be implemented, but ...

Re: [Suggestion, Question] Squad Upgrades

Building every weapon one at a time is core to the balance as far as I can tell. It does lead to a heap of inventory management. What I would like, depending on how horribly complicated it is, is a being able to set a standard loadout for every class and be able to click an "auto equip squad&q...
