AoE Overwatch?

How hard would it be to mod OW to use an AoE trigger you can place? The gui would be like the grenade graphic. Ideally, you would be able to set a key to resize it.

Also.. Why is it that ruler reactions go off even when not using an attack? Why do they go off several times in one round? If this follows tabletop rules, each turn is 6 seconds...

I think you could create an ability to trigger on certain tiles.

The base game sniper ability KillZone does something like this, although it's unlimited reaction shots and a conal AoE. And we made a similar ability for pistols in PerkPack.

As to the narrative of why Rulers behave the way they do ... I don't know, you'd have to ask Jake. :)

There's a Trooper classmod you can look at too, does something like a 360 degree killzone in one of the capstones(death sentence). Also it could be worth looking at the targeting part of the technical rocket(or other aoe ability, like grenades). Probably not an overly difficult task.

Not sure if that's what you mean. There's Smart Overwatch mod that sets a viewing direction in a cone shape.

Its supposed to work with Long War mod.
