New to the Game, Vanilla or Long War?

Hello everybody, i would like to hear some opinions about this. I have experience with Enemy Unknown but have never played Xcom 2. Should i play some vanilla first, or it's better to start with Long War 2 from the beginning?

Honestly, I'd recommend LW2 first. It'll be a rough start, but you won't have bad habits remaining from XCOM 2 (things that simply do not work in LW2). I'd also definitely recommend reading the ingame encyclopedia (there are entries about LW2 mechanics) and watching JoINrbs' or Xwynns' YouTube quick tutorials on LW2 mechanics and/or a bit of an LP to get the swing of things.

Oh, and start on Rookie or Vet difficulty. Probably Rookie (and you can always up it in the middle if you find it too easy). LW2 don't mess around.
