As title says, I have ADD have trouble keeping my squads right.

When I send 7/8 of a squad out and I am sorting through for the next AWC training, visual squad icon would clearly point out there is a good candidate because his squad is out doing a mission.

I would also be fine with replacing the flag with the squad icon, just some way to help see what squad members are doing what.

If this could be added, it'd be a nice little bonus. I also have some trouble remembering who is in what squad, if any. That said, most of the time you can just go to Squad View in the squad manager, and manage the soldiers that way. Slightly more tedious, but it works.

You can add letter codes in their name or nickname too as a work around.

In addition to squads, I do this for some builds so I don't put a medkit on a hacking specialist and don't bring a holo sniper when I want a marksman.

This is a QOL improvement I need. Especially when it comes to officer training. Sometimes I have to look at my squad management menu to make sure I'm not training a candidate who already is in a squad with an officer.

IF they ever want to consider that complex HUD area & various custom functions.. i feel we'd also need some indirect ways to indicate the Weapons Tiers & possibly, Armors too. And, of course -- those precious SquadIcons referencing assets.

No tweaks are simple when we (modders) have to deal with such GFX/Flash components, my friend.

Okay -- about that Flag column that could host SquadIcons.
The problem there is the parsing capacities that already exist.

Yours (by Flags) is using Ranks. Mine has access to multiple generic status considerations. Thus.. code-wise, it's much easier & in gameplay terms, it's somewhat more intuitive.
