Since this new Xcom2 APPID was submitted on Steam a week ago, I haven’t seen any new posts from the Pavonis crew.

I smell something cooking and am beginning to salivate. Firaxis should just hire them already.

Well, no new posts from JL, and fewer from Amineri and tracktwo. But I can't deny I've had the same thought.

I'm just going to propose an alternate explanation; I have no affiliation with Pavonis, so this is in no way definite.

It could be that Johnny is sick recently, and so progress on 1.2 has been delayed. This is the cold/flu season in the US, and I know lots of people I work with have been out sick lately.

/Just not a fan of 'conspiracy theory' thinking

But what if Firaxis and 2K intentionally infected them with the flu, just to provide a cover story for their absence in posting due to the confirmed[*] NDA over the DLC?

JL browses a lot but rarely posts anyway - I imagine most of his time spent working on LW2-related stuff is for 1.2 prep.

Sitting around on forums is counterproductive when you got bugs to fix and suchlike.

Working is counterproductive when you have forum posts to make.

Even if it's not true, you could always tweet at 2k and say something like "Please continue to financially support the XCOM Long War mod team so they can support any future DLC..."

If you click on a user's name you can see their posting history - up until a week or so ago johnnylump was posting about 10-20 times a day but nothing since last Thursday. Amineri was much less frequent anyway, but nothing since Sunday.

What you're talking about is someone known as Community Manager, an actual job bigger companies have!
I'm not sure if PI has enough available staff/resources to have a CM however.

Maybe Fraxis got all the big guns together to finally fix those LOS bugs as a sort of anniversary gift to all the dedicated fans still playing

That's a shame, not on the being alive part. I sorta wished there was something else going on, but then again maybe there really is something going on.

I don't know. We haven't heard from them in a while and then we only here this? How do we know this isn't a Faceless infiltrator. That is what is going on. Guys they have been captured by aliens. We need to go rescue them.

I have been in a land of beaches and rum. Interestingly, one of those beaches was once used in a film as a landscape on an alien planet.
