Crit Resistance and Dodge/Crit Interaction?

So, we know the reworked hit mechanics mean dodge counters crit and vice versa....

My question is this: Does crit resistance (from Resilience, Nanoscale Vest, etc) apply BEFORE the crit/dodge interaction (thus mitigating dodge-loss to crit), or after?

There is no direct interaction. The way it works is the game essentially rolls for crit and dodge separately- let's say X% crit and Y% dodge. If the crit roll succeeds upgrade a damage class- Graze -> Normal -> Critical damage; if the dodge roll succeeds, downgrade a level Critical -> Normal -> Graze -> Miss. If both rolls pass, they negate each other.

Oh. They're straight up opposed rolls. Gotcha. Still, looks like Crit resistance indirectly increases dodge, then? By reducing the chance of an off-setting crit roll?

It doesn't increase dodge, but it makes graze outcomes more likely (as well as crit outcomes less likely). If it had the same effect as increasing dodge, it would also make miss outcomes more likely.
