Downgrading Resistance MECs

Is there anyway to avoid downgrading MECs when they're hacked via Master Enemy? Because I captured a Super Heavy MEC (with several DE perks like veteran, etc) and I dislike that all the perks along with health/armor/defense just get striped down into a low level Resistance MEC. And losing some specialty ones like Longbows is just as disappointing.

it seems there is only one model for the resistance mec at the moment. so what you see is what you get.

but come on you can have an army of them so yeah
