According to UFOpaedia there is a hidden aim-bonus, when missing or losing a soldier.

Re: Hidden Aim Bonus Rookie
The Hidden Aim bonus was a feature of Vanilla XCom2.
In LW2, on Rookie difficulty only, soldiers have bonus to their stats including +5 Aim but this bonus is perfectly visible.

OK, you meant his line :
If it's still in effect, i think it wasn't a flat number but a number based on how many shots you missed or soldiers you lost. I don't remember how much thought.
I'll wait for a developer or beta tester to confirm this information. As far as i knew that had been removed but maybe they kept it for Rookie difficulty.UFOpedia wrote:Rookie difficulty only includes the XCom aim assist system which gives you hidden bonuses to aim each time an attack misses and after soldiers die.

From XComGameCore.ini (for LW2):
As you can see, in Rookie difficulty all your guys should be getting their aim multiplied by 1.15 (15% more rather than 15 more). There are no other benefits. In every other difficulty, there are no benefits at all.
Looks like the wiki is wrong as it states Rookie as having a 120% global aim modifier.
