Cause the DFA still a auto pick in the most case, IMO Snapshot need some love. Just read the pactch note, it states that Snapshot has aim bounus in close range before. Does anyone know how much is?

I think you'd have to check the files of an old version to find out, unless someone remembers, because it came with the base version and was later removed.

And Snapshot is fine IMO, it allows you to safely deploy Sharpshooters into GOps-kinda missions where you aren't guaranteed high ground or have to be on the move or both. I've found out that if the AI of a unit doesn't see the Snapshooter it's common to take no measures against being flanked by it. I do tend to pair them up with Sappers tho, just in case. They're excellent for revealed starts where you can't sit on a spot (Escort VIP, Intel Raid, Recruit Raid).

I can't think why I would ever want to take DfA over Snapshot, aside from the one guy I'd want to be shooting from range 40+ on a HQ. Flank shots do more than a Steady Weapon will ever do. The AI can't cope with an unseen squadsight sniper. A Snapshot sniper who must land a shot on something in cover is a desperate sniper in a bad position who isn't being supported.

Snapshot is the best pick for an early sniper. It removes their largest flaw so that they are no longer a liability. Getting snipers useful in the early game is far more important then making them better late game, so most my snipers are snapshot. Rapid targetting is good too and it carries well into the late game. I can only build dfa snipers late so its the worst pick IMO.
