Dark Events?

Do dark events expire? I've had some going for a couple months now and they seem to just keep accumulating, except for one-offs like 'UFO Hunts the Avenger' which ends when you complete the Avenger Defense Mission

Short answer: tactical buffs are permanent (but these are also extremely misleading because they only apply to a small % of a few specific aliens, so it's NOT THE CASE that all your explosives do 1/3 damage to everyone), and it's popular belief that the "alien conditioning" ones are also permanent. But things like faceless to havens, crackdown on recruits, fade over time (some of them are 2 weeks in duration in particular if they affect jobs like intel/supplies, rest are like a month I think).
