I can't deal with retaliations. [Help]

I played a lot of retaliations, most of them were that one where we need to wait for avenger while receiving reinforcements. I had no problem with these (in fact I find them a bit easy). The problem comes with the other retaliation (that were pods and avenger are already placed). I played 4 and all of them were on the same way:

0.- I start in a corner
1.- I scout with shinobis and see several pods that wiould be activated if I move 6 or 7 tiles fordward.
2.- I move back all squad to cover.
3.- Alien turn: Around 3 pods make A DASH MOVE! in the direction of my position. They all are activated.
4.- Second alien turn: the another 2 pods hear the shots and also dash to join the party.

My first time I thought that I was unlucky, but this thing was repeated up to 4 times. To the point that this 4th was the first time I broke my self imposed Ironman just to try strange things. Being the last one an attempt where I replaced the evac zone in the corner and stacked all the squad in a 9 tile square on the very corner of the map and got the same weird outcome, all the map dash into my position.

I've found those to be some of the most difficult missions in the game. My greatest success has come from playing them extremely aggressively and hoping that the AI shoots civilians instead of my soldiers when things get out of control, which seems to happen most of the time.

I see now that the "3 pods dash to my position in first turn" thing was just bad luck, because my retaliations started more like your 4th one where In second turn I had almost all the map in the fight (except a pod that kill civilians in FOW) without deserving it (sometimes even stacking on the very corner).

This is of topic, but could you tell me what mods are you using? I guess some about OW at least that I didn't know.
