Invisible menus forcing game close

1) Beta 13
2) Windows 10 64 bit
3) No non-Pavonis mods (but have all Pavonis mods activated)
4) First issue started when picking people for mission and I selected PCS upgrade. The view of the soldier, and any menu, would instantly disappear and I was left with a view of the hangar. The music still played and the program didn't obviously crash, but Esc did nothing and I couldn't get back.
That issue persists, but now the same thing happens when--during the premission--I click a blank soldier spot to add somebody. The same thing as above happens: menus disappear, background remains, nothing but ctrl alt delete gets me out.
5) I can offer save game but I have no idea how to do that.

Also, I followed all the steps outlined in the how to report a bug post.

And, I forgot to mention that the Guerilla school isn't working correctly. The first slot works, allowing me to train rookies as a class. But the next two slots are mixed up--the retrain slot lets me pick a higher ranked soldier to retrain abilities, and the officer slot i can use to train a rookie to be an officer.

Also, you forgot to read the mod description of Long War 2.

We don't have a Beta 13 and the instructions note you shouldn't be using our other mods with LW2.
