Can`t open vehicle door bug

Hi, there,

sadly I`m stuck on a mission, where I have to open a viehicle to free the hostage. But no matter, what I do, there is absolutely no way to open it.

Did you try standing to the side of the vehicle instead of behind it? I think this is a vanilla bug and not sure why it happens. I find standing on the side to be more reliable.

The X is where to stand. Not sure if it bugs out as well. Could also try using the console to TTC. It's cheaty but justifiable for genuine bugs IMO.

@Chris, I just tried it out, but sadly it didn`t help.

The red symbol appears on the rear doors, but it doesn`t matter, where I stand. No opening icon comes.


If only by console means:
What would be the correct command to bypass that bug?

Could you use the console command x2debugmap and report the map name here? It will look something like "Plot_CTY_LgObj_Civic_10_LW"

The teleporttocursor command would probably let you get somebody inside the vehicle.

Did you use an explosive on or near the vehicle?

One time, when I fired a rocket at a nearby pod I had the same result. The van looked undamaged but the door was no longer operational...

No, I carefully didn`t harm the vehicle at all.
