Skulljacking Codex and killing Avatar did not reduce doom counter.

Other mods: Grimys Hotkeys, Numeric Health Display, Gotcha

I skulljacked a Codex and killed the Avatar spawn on a successful Avenger defense mission. Afterwards there was no reduction of the doom counter, though I did get quest completion and advanced the story. I'm told this is supposed to reduce the counter by 3.

For what it's worth, this bug is still around in vanilla, and ended my modless L/I campaign back in January. A bit of googling revealed that sometimes the counter simply doesn't detick on the avatar's death, with no explanation as to when or why.

I had two ticks on my counter, triggered the effect (during a smash n grab) and it went down to zero. Soon after an alien facility boosted it back up to one.

Just chiming in to complicate the matter by pointing out it's not completely broken. ;)
