Game has slowed since installing Long War 2 through Steam

Hi,
I subscribed to Long War 2 through Steam. Once it was downloaded I added the mod. I love the mod but since installing the mod the gameplay has slowed terribly. Sometimes when clicking on research or any other option within the Avenger the screen takes a long time to change and when Shen or Tygen are on the screen it takes a long time for the game to zoom in on them. I have changed the graphics settings in game. I have also changed my AMD Radeon card settings to be at 60fps and V Sync always on.

Any help would be much appreciated.

What other mods are you running? Something could be conflicting.
