1.2: Bastion does not block vehicle explosion damage

Title says it all. I have my squad huddled in a Bastion ball around the front of an ADVENT truck-and-trailer, for cover. Enemy MEC fires micro missiles onto us (for no damage, thanks to Bastion), but the truck still gets set on fire. The following turn the truck explodes and the squad takes shred and damage.

vanilla bug - this is due to environmental damage effects deals damage directly to units instead of applying damage effect on units, the difference here is the damage immunity checks are only done in the effect part, and the Unit.TakeDamage function ignores all other factors and deal exactly the input amount of damage to the unit (The damage effect will consider all the effects and such and calculate the final value before passing them into Unit.TakeDamage).
