Deception got me 2 enemies instead of 1

So after my sniper engaged a pod (accidentally engaged 2 because I am a dummy and didn't realise I could see the second) I hacked the network tower and chose deception (gain control of a random enemy for 2 turns). After being successful it panned to the engineer (right next to the alien relay) and came up with "mind controlled" and I had control of him (though he didn't have any actions left). I then used haywire protocol to gain control of a drone. After gaining control of the drone my camera then panned to the sidewinder came up with "mind controlled" so now I have control of the engineer, drone and sidewinder from my specialists turn of hacking deception + haywire protocol.

it's the vanilla bug similar to skulljack feedback bug, should be fixed on the next version (or 1.4 depend on if they are still deploying xcomgame.upk)
