That's what I thought, then I went back and read the Reddit thread: https://www.reddit.com/r/Xcom/comments/ ... alculator/mattprice516 wrote:Hey now - that was me, not JoINrbs.
I'll fix it. Thanks Matt.

This answered so many questions about the graze for me, thank you!

OK. So just to be sure i have it right are these the correct final values (ignoring rounding errors)?
EDIT : DropBox changed it's services and now i can no longer link images directly.
Note, i filled left to right because it's more intuitive (at least for anyone who played some d100 PnP RPGs) that a percentage shot succeeds on low valuesEDIT : DropBox changed it's services and now i can no longer link images directly.

Another visualisation I made (sorry but I found OP a little confusing)

So, are these graphs showing like the "final values"?
Because I'm still kind of confused as to why in game I get -crit penalty for "to-hit", and -hit penalty for "dodge".
Are those the final values that would be put into these charts so to speak, or is that simply an attempt to give me an actual percentage taking into account the behind the scenes?

Re: Visualization of how Graze, Hit Chance, Crit Chance, and Dodge interact.
It's the latter. For instance, there's a +/- 10% "graze band" on all shots, right? So any shot with a raw hit% between 90% and 10% ALWAYS has a 20% chance to graze. A dodged graze will "downgrade" a graze to a miss.
So an enemy with 10 dodge will cause 10% of the graze shots to miss. This effectively means that an addional 2% of your shots will miss in that scenario compared to the same shot against an enemy with no dodge. So that shows up as a "-2% Dodge" on the to-hit window.

So this means that a miss can be upgraded to a Graze, if i roll a crit? This means that a high crit chance is almost like a reverse Grazing Fire.
Re: Visualization of how Graze, Hit Chance, Crit Chance, and Dodge interact.
Crits can only upgrade graze to hit and hit to crit. Dodge can degrade crit to hit, hit to graze and graze to miss. This modification takes place after the graze band is inserted, which means only the part of a miss that is replaced by the graze band can be affected by crits.Doctor Sticks wrote:So this means that a miss can be upgraded to a Graze, if i roll a crit?
