What's with the dying night elf?

Something that has been mildly bothering me is that when normally playing on geoscape, every few minutes I hear a faint scream that resembles a warcraft night elf dying one (like here) which sounds sufficiently out of context to be distracting.
(this does happen on different computers and with different headsets, seems louder when zoomed close to Earth)

Do you play a certain faction? I'll take a closer listen later tonight when I play. I haven't noticed anything, but then again, I also thought for the longest time that the "death" whisper in Black and White 2 was just a figment of my imagination.

It happened with Resistance, Academy and Initiative so probably happens with all of them. Also like I said, both on my PC and laptop. There seems to be some kind of looping track when your camera is relatively close to Earth, and one of the sounds on it stands out as it's louder than others and resembles a death scream.

That's part of the army battle loop. We had some instances of the audio loop persisting when it should have been turned off in older builds. Let us know if you continue to hear it in build .49 and later.

My question similar to this, is in the art work with the goats, what are the goats looking at? Is it a spaceship in flight? A crashed spaceship? A ground installation? I like the artwork, but I can't figure out what it is!

Still hear it occasionally in v49, perhaps it's more rare now though. I'm not sure if it's part of battle sounds, sometimes you can hear ambient sounds with regular screams, which I guess is used for ambient combat (and there it doesn't sound strange). The track in question though mainly has something like engine sounds and occasional voices, but just this occasional scream stands ou. I get it even when fully zoomed on a country with no armies or wars.
