Suppression bug

My gunner was using suppression on an outsider. The outsider moves to a new position and my gunner's opportunist bonus triggers but nothing happens. The animation-cam remained stuck on the gunner for 10-15 seconds but he doesn't get a free shot at the alien. I know this has something to do with LOS and a weapon's max range issues, but will this bug be ever fixed?
