tactical vest vs Statis Vests

Isn't this a no brainer... having 8 hp brought back seems way better than +1 armor...

Apart from saving 1 hp time in medbay on a single shot, there is no reason to go with that one.

I think it should give 2 HP + 2 armor instead of 2 HP and 1 armor.

Edit: I just saw that Armor does not work with Ablative Hitpoints. In other words, it's pretty useless even for high ablative setups.

I guess the only use would be on a really high HP soldier; even so - considering how much shred the enemy has,I doubt it will ever come to play.

Stasis seems better to me, it is essentially +12 hp, if you don't get one-shotted.

Sadly, Ablative does not use armor, which means you have to take wounds if armor is doing its job. But stasis can help keep your hp high, so that if you do get shot, it brings you back to full, which means less time in medbay.

I agree, +2 armor and +2 HP for Tactical vest would be a lot better.

Stasis Vests could be good for a small team that does not have a seat for a Specialist Medic, but only if you have some ADVENT Shieldbearer corpses to use.
While Tactical Vests... I use them on my Arc Assaults. They are okay when a tanker has to withstand some focus fire, but there are so many enemies that can shred Armor with guns or simply spam explosives. So 1 Armor is not enough in my opinion.

If Tactical Vests provide an Armor point that cannot be shredded then it could be better. 2 Armor points may be too much because 2 Armor points by Tactical Vest + Predator Armor, is identical to Bulwark + Reinforce Frame, so the wearer basically becomes a cover-taking SPARK.

I prefer the armor point by the time I start handing out Warden suits because 3 armor does make an impact on the damage you take, otherwise I take Nanoscale because crits are more of a concern to me than the possibility of getting shot multiple times. I haven't bothered with Stasis because getting the Shieldbearer autopsy has always been superlow in my list of research priorities and getting enough corpses to make it instant has always seem impossible, compared to Mutons, which I eventually either instant or research because of Plasma grenades.

I like Hazmat on my Shinobis because it allows them to Fleche into fire and poison.

My last legendary campaign ended yesterday with almost everyone wearing wardens + tac vests and alloy plating with plasma weapons on Waterworld. I felt it was enough.

I am kinda with Dwarfling on this but more. :D Hazmat all the way. :)
Its HP boost is 3 which is pretty good (Hellweave is 5 and stasis is 4), it makes you immune to poison, fire and acid which means you dont have to worry about viper AOE poison or running through stuff.
If you get a psi with bastion (immunity to fire, poison, acid and explosives) then it looses its value but so far I never got that. :(
