The concussion rocket does phenominal evironment damage well beyond the actual AoE of the rocket. You can blow cover without spawning smoke on the targets or just level buildings and drop whole pods to their doom. It also comboes insanely well with Shinobi and Assaults as the second wave. In vanilla the AI continually repositions the pods to be on the line between you and the objective. If you try to flank it, all the pods will move to get back in between you and it. That behavior is removed. However there was an additional component where the AI could basically see your threat range...

ADVENT can "over infiltrate" missions just like you can. If you've gotten them upset enough that they overload a mission it may not be possible to stop them.

Sometimes you just have to roll with the punches and fight another day.

I always take snapshot for my baby snipers, lategame though I respec them into full squadsight again. Snipers are imo the most useless class early game, snapshot makes them not so useless earlygame. Rapid targetting is pretty good early. Handing out +10s while skirmishing with a pistol gets work do...

Yeah, gotta say I already use Shinobi that way. Most missions my Shinobi never actually attack anything, and yet they are the most important member of the team.

Basic UI mods work fine. Pretty sure they're not built in to LW2 for exactly that reason. I'm pretty sure that's not true; 1) they don't think of every UI tweak possible, even if they could think of them it takes time to implement 2) the designers who play the game use mods like PI and flank evolve...

Anyway, intel boosts work fine. You can already do them at any time, and 100% is not the goal, it's the minimum objective.

Considering my vanilla strat was to find all the pods and then saturate the area with fire, acid, and gas, causing massive debuffs and DoT over a huge area, the changes seem warranted. Bear in mind that grenades never miss and don't strictly require LoS.

The war crimes grenades were insanely OP.

Something does seem to be off. I rescued 9 of 10, and the whole haven was wiped out. It also told me that the mission was failed despite the objectives being to rescue as many civilians as possible and evac my squad, which is what I did, and pretty well I think.
