Re: Is there a mod that shows which soldiers have served under which officer?
That's not a bad idea, changing their name. It could be just a suffix added to the existing name, like -A, -B, etc which is ties to a particular officer (say, the first initial of their nickname?). Thanks, I'll give it a try.

Re: Is there a mod that shows which soldiers have served under which officer?
I know there is a list that you get with the button on the officer's display, what I was looking for was something that graphically displayed which soldiers in the Soldier View list had served under which officer. Something to make it easier to determine who to pick when making up a squad.

Is there a mod that shows which soldiers have served under which officer?
I looked through the Workshop and didn't see this, so I'm asking here. Is there a mod that makes it easy to see which soldier served under which officer? I know that if I look at each officer I can see a list of who served under him/her, but it's not easy to use to set up squads once you have jumble...

Oh, so it's really the reverse where I would see an effect; if I didn't fight the retaliation my operations would be hindered. Great, thanks!trihero wrote:It means you can go on doing what you were doing before with no penalty.

What does "Unhindered Operations" mean exactly?
I just finished a Retaliation mission which said that the reward was "Unhindered Operations". What's that mean in game terms? Thanks!

[REQ] Sort Soldier List by Nickname
Hello, I hope I am doing this right  I posed the question over on the regular LW2 forum, if there was a mod that would allow me to sort the soldier list by nickname. I didn't get any responses, I'm assuming there isn't one. I looked in the Steam Workshop and didn't see one either. In my last c...

I thought this is no longer true. I've disabled mods and the save game still loads, just with a warning.branor wrote:Not without steam, without steam workshop. Nexus mod manager works well, and doesn't ruin your saves by auto-removing the mod if the author pulls it from the workshop.

I think this is the concept that I wasn't grasping myself. So that milestone "Monthly Supply Drop" in the queue now just gives a summary?Arcalane wrote:Supply is also generated piece by piece over time, not as a lump sum at the end of the month.

What is a good setting for the resistance at the start of the campaign?
I've read a lot of suggestions on how and why to adjust the jobs of the resistance members during the campaign, but I'm a little baffled for what to do at the very beginning when I have just one haven and I'm just starting out. I know the logic of setting all of them to Intel to gain the best infilt...

Re: UPDATE: Long War 2 Patch 1.1 is now available
It takes like an hour to upload to the Nexus. It's at 46%, but I gotta run to the store and will make it live after I get back, assuming it's all in before we have to go down to Denver for lunch and the Star Wars costumes exhibit. Where are you guys based? I used to live in Colorado Springs and wor...

Re: Should I play the Vamilla game first before long war 2 ?
Hmm, good question. I played a lot of vanilla XCOM 2 before LW2, but I'd have to say that LW2 can stand on it's own. You are going to have to learn a lot of tactics, tricks, etc, to get good at LW2 but frankly I'm having to unlearn stuff I picked up in vanilla that works different in LW2. So I'd say...

Re: What to do after LW2 1.1 update is installed
The path to my config folder is different than yours, mine is C:\Users\[user name]\Documents\My Games\XCOM2\XComGame\Config
I had to go to the folder "My Games" to get to the XCOM2 folder. Just FYI. Maybe it's a Windows 7 thing.

Getting a list of mods currently active
Is there some way to get a list of mods currently active via some ini or config file? I was trying to see if there is an easier way than taking screenshots of the starting mods menu and doing cut and paste or copying them over to a scratch pad. I want to do this so I can post to my local forum what ...

Sort Soldier List by Nickname?
I now have lots of soldiers and I don't really remember them by last name, I remember them by their nicknames. Is there some way to change the soldier "Name" column to sort by nickname? Is there a mod (I looked, but no joy)? Should I request a mod?

How important is it to build Proving Ground and Skulljack?
This might have been discussed before but I missed it. I'm deep in an LW2 campaign and woefully short of supplies after building the Proving Grounds after AWC, GTS and Workshop plus a Power Relay. And now I'm thinking maybe I didn't need to be in such a hurry to get to the Proving Grounds, I only ha...

Re: Question regarding reducing Advent Strength
Thanks, it's a bit of knowledge to keep in my back pocket. I have noticed the difference in the types of aliens I've met at AS4 versus AS2. Strength Two doesn't scare me as muchtrihero wrote:It's -2, not halving. Source: me in the later game hitting level 5+ strengths doesn't halve it.

Question regarding reducing Advent Strength
I attacked an Advent column and the Advent Strength in my region went from 4 to 2. I'm just wondering if that is a halving of the previous value or just a -2 effect. The question becomes more pertinent when talking about Advent Strengths of 6 or 7. Thanks!

Re: Who gets to yell the orders in your squad? And misc Officer questions
A Shinobi but fore purely narrative lore reasons lol. Ranger would be my typical choice though, or medic. My Shinobi don't last long enough to be considered for officer training. I just had a mission to destroy a relay. Enemy force was too tough so I ended up sending the Shinobi on a forlorn hope r...
